Writing Contest Open for High School Students

High school students in Martin, St. Lucie, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÀúÊ· River and Okeechobee counties are invited to participate in the annual Creative Writing Contest hosted by the English/Communications/Modern Languages Department at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÀúÊ· River State College (IRSC). The deadline to submit entries is Monday, February 17.

Contestants can enter one of three categories: short stories, one-act plays or poems. Awards are presented by category for each grade level, and seniors will be eligible to win one of two °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÀúÊ·scholarships. All winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony March 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Brown Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÀúÊ·Main Campus in Fort Pierce.
